Grilled Steak Salad

Like most, I enjoy an occasional salad and when we’re watching our weight we tend to opt for salads more often than ever. In my opinion, salads should be fun and tasty– it shouldn’t taste like you’re eating rabbit food. Here’s a salad recipe you can add to mix things up!

Difficulty Level: Low-Medium


  • Romaine lettuce
  • Tomatoes (Cheery or Roma)
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1/2 Green pepper
  • Steak Sirloin or beef fajita strips
  • Black pepper and salt, season salt
  • Blue cheese crumbles


  • Chop Romaine lettuce and place in a serving bowl
  • Cut green peppers lengthwise
  • Chop onions
  • On a grill or skillet place burner on medium heat and grill onions and green peppers for 5 mins.
  • Slice tomatoes and cucumbers and lightly season with black pepper and salt
  • Season steak or beef fajita strips with season salt and pepper
  • Cook medium well
  • Remove steak from heat and allow to cool, then slice lengthwise
  • Add steak, onions, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles to bowl
  • Add a vinaigrette based dressing such as Balsamic
